When Fenty Beauty was launched by Our Queen, the Goddess Rihanna™ in 2017, makeup enthusiasts far and wide physically quaked in their vanity rooms. The world was not prepared for a gift of such massive value and scalability. (Yes, I admit: I’m a HUGE Rihanna fan.)
Not only is the makeup superior to most brands in terms of quality and packaging, but also, the diverse shade range and inclusive marketing set an entirely new standard for its competitors. This is according to popular opinion, people. #NoBias
So it came as little surprise, really, that Time named the company one of the 25 best inventions of 2017, Paper Magazine reports. Since Fenty has continued to slay — releasing such products as the Diamond Milk highlighter and lip gloss, the Flyliner liquid eyeliner, and the Moroccan Spice eyeshadow palette — it was bestowed yet another esteemed title by the same publication: one of the Most Genius Companies in 2018.
“In only a year, Fenty Beauty has pulled off a makeover of the makeup industry,” Time wrote in a tribute piece. “Fenty introduced its first collection last fall — including a much-hyped foundation dubbed Pro Filt’r that comes in 40 diverse shades — with the aim of catering to all women, regardless of skin color.”
Kudos, RiRi. We can’t wait to see what else Fenty Beauty has in store. Literally. 😉
