In the world of Korean beauty, lifted, lustrous, radiant skin is the rage. Seriously — the goal is to glow so hard, the clouds part and a beam of light descends to whisk you away to the land of enlightenment, where everything is sparkly and kaleidoscopic and it never gets dark. (If THAT doesn’t pique your interest, we don’t know what will.)

Before we dive into what makes dumpling skin so awe-inspiring, let’s take a little trip down memory lane to late 2017. Remember the glass skin craze, defined as having a super clear, practically reflective mug? Dumpling skin is similar, but it’s got a touch more juice to it and refers to a “3-D” luminous makeup application.

As InStyle explains, the term was established by beauty expert/highlighter queen Nam Vo, and she’s turned #dewydumplings into a viral trend. Just LOOK at her skin, people.

Among Vo’s clients hungry for their own dew are models Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Flaviana Matata, and boy, do they shine after Vo works her makeup magic. See for yourself.

Lucky for us, Vo revealed the tricks and trades of her (extremely hydrated) glimmering skin to the Cut. “I steam, I LED mask, I massage, I jade roll my face, I do Clear and Brilliant laser,” she said in an interview. “I also do Higher Dose because I am all about steaming and sweating. I have the at-home wrap. I do it all, that’s just because I am extra. I’m constantly exfoliating like there’s no tomorrow.”

Her favorite products? “I like Summer Fridays Jet Lag mask,” she said. “I use the Ole Henrikson Instant Transformation Lemon Facial Peel twice a week. I also use Herbivore’s Brightening Mask. The Natura Bisse Cleansing Mask, I’ve been using for ten years.”

So, there you have it. While you’re devising your new skincare routine, enjoy these photos of more #dewydumplings.
